ABOUT ME

Born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska, I am a Midwestern at heart. I'll always offer you a smile or a friendly wave, and I want to get to know you. Most people assume that, as a Nebraskan, I must know a lot about corn and cows, but I'm much more of a city girl.

I attended college at Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville, Missouri. A town with a population of 13,000, I finally got my "country" experience. While majoring in accounting and international business, I studied abroad at the American University in Bulgaria (AUBG) in Blagoevgrad, Bulgaria. During this time, I traveled throughout eastern Europe and met many great people.

After returning from Bulgaria, I spent the summer living, working, and playing in Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming. Although I've always loved the outdoors, this experience really solidified my passion for Mother nature. The summer was spent hiking, camping, backpacking, climbing, and simply enjoying the beautiful world around me.

When I finally graduated college (the "victory lap" is totally overrated), I left America to join Peace Corps. After having a couple financial internships, I decided the office life wasn't for me. Currently, I'm living in Senegal, West Africa and working in the Community Economic Development sector.
