About Me
My partner Hunter and I met 4years ago as students at UNCA and have been together since! We are environmental enthusiasts, farmers, pet owners, and young travelers. We travel the country, working on various farms to gain both experience and knowledge to run our own farm one day.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Hunter and I travel a lot, especially in the winter, so when it is too cold to live out of our car, and we couchsurf! We typically need a warm, comfortable, appropriate, and clean space for a couple and our two well-behaved cats.
Interests
We are fully immersed in the world of Good Food! We love farming, cooking, and eating FOOD! In fact, we'd be more than happy (honored, really) to cook for you while surfing. We are also cat enthusiasts, though we won't make you watch cat videos (unless you want to...). Overall, we backpack, cook, knit/crochet, read, and listen to music!
Music, Movies, and Books
Music: folk, indie, Jimi, Dylan, bluegrass, rock, among others.
Books: field guides, herbal books, cook books, hiking books, farming books, fantasy novels
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
So far, we have driven over 5000 miles around the South East in our retro-fitted Subaru over the last 2 months! We are still driving on that trip, and won't be quite "finished" until we reach our longer-term destination in Western Colorado come March.
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach: farming, gardening, insects, cooking and preparing local food
Learn: anything new!
Share: good food, good conversation, good hikes.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Seriously though, let us cook for you in exchange! We are excellent cooks and have our own kitchen ware if you don't. Also, you can pet/play with our cats, they are very friendly.
