About Me

Hi, I'm Liz. I am currently travelling around Europe and the UK to see art, to adventure, meet interesting people, explore new places, and escape the Australian winter. I am easy-going, pretty hilarious, vivacious, delightfully stubborn, a bit chaotic, and I really enjoy chatting to new people over a glass of wine.
My housemate hosted couchsurfers back in Australia, but I am new to it myself. It seems pretty wonderful and I am excited to dip my toes in on this trip.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Hostels are boring and full of drunken Australians. I want to meet people who live in, and are passionate about, the places I am visiting and see beneath the touristy facade of a city. I also think it is a really beautiful concept .

Music, Movies, and Books

Music - a few faves include: Peaches, Patti Smith, Solange, Banoffe, MIA, Sia, Oranges, etc etc I can get into most things if I am in the right mood.
Books - pretty voracious reader. Currently reading Ariel Levy's memoir 'The Rules do not Apply' and loving it. Some recent favorites: Maxine Beneba Clarke's 'The Hate Race', 'Monkey Grip' by Helen Garner, Siri Hustvedt's 'the Blazing world', Patti Smith's 'Just Kids', 'The Master and Margarita' by Mikhail Bulgakov.
I don't get to the movies as much as I'd like but the best films I've seen recently have been Embrace of the Serpent, Hidden Figures, and Pariah.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Yesterday I sunbathed naked at the Hampstead Heath women's pond with hundreds of amazing women, it was a pretty sublime experience.

What I Can Share with Hosts

sweet joie de vivre. Cooking. Smiling. Laughing. Chatting. We can also practice English if that is something helpful or we can go to a gallery together and talk about art.

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, Austria, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, United Kingdom, United States, Vatican City State

Countries I’ve Lived In
