About Me

CURRENT MISSION

still searching.....but in the meantime, to experience new cultures, see new places and meet new people through travel.

ABOUT ME

I'm a late 20 something who has recently embarked on a career change and decided to spend the year in France to learn the language and see a new country! A graduate of Art History, I love the arts and spent my first three years out of college working as a Curatorial Assistant at an art museum in Virginia. Last year I moved up to Maine and lived outside Acadia National Park where I worked as a server during the summer months and spent my free time hiking, swimming, kayaking and rock-climbing. I love the outdoors and discovering new places and meeting new people. Huge fan of music festivals and live music in general, I play the piano and have guitar envy...meaning I don't play but wish I could and admire all those who can. I have more recently moved to France where I am working as a teaching assistant in a French highschool. I'm attempting to learn French by living in France, interacting with the French people and living the French lifestyle, all of which I have come to love.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Surfing and Hosting.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am new to Couchsurfing but heard about it previously through friends and more recently from my current roommates who are also hosts/surfers. We have hosted a few people this year, all of which have been great experiences.

Interests

A few things that make me happy:

PEANUT BUTTER. Long road trips with all the windows down and music blaring at an uncomfortably loud volume, coffee ice cream, old/used books (older the better- currently searching for a copy of "Le Petite Prince" by 'Antoine de Saint-Exupéry-since I'm in France), MOUNTAINS and views from the top of said mountains, coffee, STARS/stargazing, live music, languages, antique stores, FIREWORKS, rock-climbing/hiking, laughing so hard you cry, trains, bikram yoga, art history, bonfires, playing the piano, hoegaarden w/ a lemon, dancing
