About Me
Hallo!
I really like to travel, though I haven't travelled as much as I like yet. So that means there are many places for me to discover. I like visiting museums (doesn't matter what kind) and historic places, but I also love hiking and cycling in nature, trying food... basically anything.
I studied history, draw a lot, work as a content creator/editor/copywriter and have thoroughly enjoyed the places that I have visited.
I've learned to speak German, French and Spanish in middle and high school, but I placed them under 'learning' because I'm not as confident speaking in those languages (yet).
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
My boyfriend introduced me to CS. We went to stay with a couchsurfer in Berlin and I really enjoyed it. Then I read about the concept (before we went, not after) and decided to join myself. It is a nice way to find a place to sleep while traveling and make local friends along the way!
Music, Movies, and Books
I enjoy a lot of books, music and movies. I like everything from Haruki Murakami, enjoy watching Hayao Miyazaki movies, have a weak spot for fantasy novels and listen to a lot of different music genres. Some things I like: Fargo, the dreamers, Moonrise Kingdom, The Ill-Made Mute (Cecilia Dart-Thornton), Herman Hesse, Kim Min Ji (illustrations), John Bauer, Franz Ferdinand, Hyukoh, the last shadow puppets, Gustav Holst (Planets).
I can make this list endless so I'll leave it at this.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I fear that the amazing things I've done are nothing compared to some of the things I read here on couchsurfing. But I think hiking op a mountain in South Korea is pretty amazing. I did enjoy it a lot!
Teach, Learn, Share
History! I can tell some nice, fun or unique stories and share info about places to visit in mainly Amsterdam, Leiden and Haarlem. I work in Amsterdam, have studied in Leiden and visited Haarlem a lot since it is close. I can help you with public transport, show you around, bake some pannenkoeken (pancakes) or something else.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Historic fun facts, food, a nice thank you and perhaps al little drawing (?) ;-)
Conversations and a drink are always good.
