About Me
CURRENT MISSION
A newborn.
ABOUT ME / US
We are a family! Two grown-ups and two daughters, a newborn and a 2 y.o. The older grown-up (Christian) is working, the slightly younger one (I) is taking care of the youngest child. And trying to do some projects on the side between feeding sessions. So you see why we are very much open to the idea of hosting families.
PHILOSOPHY
Hmmm... small moments. Being happy without a reason, one might call it coherence of ones life. I wasn´t brought up that way though, taught this in my childhood, so I am still learning. And trying to improve.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I hosted in the past, now I - already as "we" - want to get back to that.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Very pleasant.
Interests
Open and sincere people. Red wine. Loose trousers (and other loose clothes). Being silly. Listening to people who allow themselves to be silly. Silence. Smiling eyes.
And of course books, yoga and cooking together (at least Christian likes it a lot).

Music, Movies, and Books
Well, well... Nobody asks me that any more, so I really need to think...
Movies of Wes Anderson, "Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou" might be my favourite one.
Music is hard. Just classical music out of laziness. Or silence, lovely as well.
Ah books! Erich Maria Remarque, just golden lyric. Dostoevsky is a mighty thinker and a brilliant observer. Herman Hesse, a beautiful mind. Stanislaw Lem always takes my breath away through surprises. Czeslaw Milosz, beaming intelligence through every single sentence.
Asterix is nice too.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The moments that left me awestruck... As I have never left Europe, those moments might not seem impressive to most of you, though I remember them very well. One of them is the Caravaggio ballet piece, where the soft movements of two dancers were just perfectly weightless, just two dancing emotions. And the second one was a walk in the passages of the Royal Court of Justice in London, handmade soft wooden beauty.
Teach, Learn, Share
Russian alphabet might be the most impressive skill I have. I also had a three day windsurfing course in the charming bay of a Berliner lake (safe, but even safer through the life vest which I, as the only surfer, was wearing). Though due to my fear of deep dark water (and its real and imaginary inhabitants) I don´t think I will ever stand on a windsurfing board again as long as it is not on the shore. So I can offer endless theory on that nice sports.
