About Me

CURRENT MISSION

to be an awesome French teacher :)

ABOUT ME

I'm currently living in Lynchburg, VA, working as an French teacher in a middle school and high school. Last year I lived in Metz, France and used Couchsurfing as a way to travel all over France and Europe and make lots of new friends. It was a great way to gain experience before coming back to the states to teach!

PHILOSOPHY

"I am constantly on the edge of something wonderful, teetering on something terrible, having faith that greatness will come. And oh, how it comes." - stina sativa

Music, Movies, and Books

music: carbon leaf, third eye blind, cake, stars, the kooks, red hot chili peppers, stars, the mountain goats

books: we the living, the fountainhead, even cowgirls get the blues

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've been to New Orleans, Louisiana to help with rebuilding projects after Hurricane Katrina in 2005. When I went in 2007, we helped fix up a baseball field and did various yardwork and gardening for New Orleans homes. In 2009 I got to go back, and a group of us worked on tearing down the siding of a house and putting up new siding. It was amazing to see the finished pictures when the house was completed!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can bake a cook a little bit, and I like arts and crafts. I'd love to learn how to knit or sew. I also love learning about languages and culture!

Countries I’ve Visited

Belgium, Canada, Denmark, France, Germany, Luxembourg, Morocco, Netherlands, Poland, United Kingdom

Countries I’ve Lived In
