ABOUT ME

I have worked pretty much all of my life since I was 18 to support myself. In June 2009 I decided to take a year off and just go on surf travels through different parts of the world. I surfed, mainly, but I also discovered different countries' culture and wonders. Before moving to HK, I spent a few months in Bali and I have now been working in Hong Kong since August 2010.
I am enjoying HK at the moment and loving all the opportunities it is giving me to learn and grow. But a fantastic life change is coming as I move to NYC in July 2013, to follow dreams and happiness with another human being.
I believe that we can do pretty much anything we want to do if we put our mind to it. And I think that people are good.

I have recently decided to study again and so, I am doing a masters on top of my job and studying Chinese... It can be tough but I am loving learning again.

PHILOSOPHY

Life is a gift and we are responsible for our own. Our actions have consequences... Karma... I am good to myself and others and I make the most of all the experiences I have.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I try my best to give people a home away from home for a few days. When I stay with others, I hope to bring them a different perspective (or may be a shared one!) and to give them a new friend in another part of the world.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I don't know where to start... When I look at the people I have met through CS, I realise that the world is filled with incredible human beings, we just need to be opened to meeting them. CS is a step foward in joining the dots.

Interests

Surfing, yoga, reiki, meeting people and loving, travelling, teaching (yes, my job is also an interest!), reading, walking the streets of beautiful cities, talking rubbish over a glass of wine or a cup of tea... and I'll say surfing again, just to make sure you know I like surfing!

Music, Movies, and Books

I love music, I love the Killers, Kings of Leon, the Bravery, I love lots of different stuff! Zero 7, Angus and Julia Stone, Classical music - relaxing to Beethoven, can't beat it.. Favourite book - West of Kabul, East of New York (Tamim Ansari), and pretty much anything that deals with cultural identity and being confused!I enjoy reading, watching or listening to audio books on spiritual development.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've swam with whalesharks, surfed G-land, climbed a mountain, have travelled to 5 continents, I have been in love, I have given love and reiki. I have taught the greatest kids in a few different schools.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am good at languages, and would be happy to help with English, French, Spanish, Catalan or Tagalog (Filipino).
I can give you reiki too and I can listen... for a long time!
