About Me

CURRENT MISSION

to travel, meet great people and experience different ways of living.
My goal is to remove obsticals in the path of my happiness. I'm realizing that maybe not thinking so much is key;)

ABOUT ME

I'm a pretty good at noticing and observing things and am learning to trust and listen to those instincts. I love to laugh and have fun and when I am, I'm completely in the moment. There's nothing better! I like to surround myself with kind, generous, positive people that are excited for life. You could probably say I'm a romantic based on my favorite movies.

I'm headed back to India for 6 months currently and then plan to do some traveling out on the west coast after that and explore more of my own, huge country!

PHILOSOPHY

Do one thing every day that scares you. Better do it now because you never know, you might get hit by a bus tomorrow!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I headed back to India for six months and then going to travel around the western part of the USA. I would love to host people whenever I get my own place again and settle down somewhere someday ;)

To meet nice, interesting, interested, local people while I travel to different corners of the globe.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Couchsurfed in Dublin, Madrid and mostly for the month I was in Vietnam. It was a great way to meet and stay with locals and get a real life perspective into how people are and live there. Amazing experience!

Interests

I love movies, yoga, riding bikes, hiking (aka walking), friends, reading, art.... I like being in nature so hiking everywhere.... I don't play the ukalali..........taking pictures, especially of trees, buildings and people.... practicing Spanish and new languages excites me, swimming underwater amazes me, reading Dr. Seuss, Roald Dahl and other children's stories and appreciating beauty in the world.... And I LOVE bubble tea! Makes me happy, like a kid :)
Oh, and I'm an environmentalist so anything that falls under ecology and sustainability, etc I'm very interested in and would like to study it one day when I go back to school.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies- The Unbearable Lighness of Being, That Obscure Object of my Desire, Love the Hard Way, Dakota Sky, Eternal Sunshine, Stealing Beauty, Mary and Max......too many to list
Books- all Roald Dahl, any novels that suck you in and spit you out ;) A Widow for One Year
Music- All kinds, especially electronica, indie, (Devendra Banhart, Tribe, Mississippi John Hurt, Police, Talking Heads, Mattew Dear).....random people

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I spent a year living at a yoga center with 60 other volunteers. I learned so much about myself, living with others and yoga.
Walking the Camino de Santiago for two months. At first I was worried because everyone was passing me and I couldn't keep up but then I learned to relax and enjoy and stay in wonderful places with amazing people when I came upon them because...... that moment will never exist again so you cannot rush by it.
Also, traveling to Copenhagen to volunteer on the "floating city" building boats out of recycled, found materials with three awesome individuals. It was an experience that opened my mind to a different way of life and expanded my views of what is possible in life.
India was my favorite country I think so far. A place where I was happy just existing everyday very simply.....

Teach, Learn, Share

I have learned a bit about the eight limbs of yoga in recent years and about health and different diets from my job at a natural foods store for many years. I am always looking to learn more about these things. I would also love to practise my Spanish and get better with it, along with other languages. I would like to learn more about other cultures and different ways of life. I've become interested in massage. Thai mostly so far.
I would like to learn to cook all kinds of new and different things to expand my horizons and can show you some things I like:)

What I Can Share with Hosts
