Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've never couchsurfed before, but know people who have and spoke highly of it. Excited to give it a go.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books: too many to name!
Music: same, but a few -- Beirut, Flaming Lips, Van Morrison, Cotton Jones Basket Ride, Bob Dylan, Tinariwen, Modest Mouse.
Movies: Raging Bull w/ De Niro is my fave. I love old stuff and 90s movies and just about anything by Woody Allen, Hitchcock, Wes Anderson, or Scorcese. Can't abide Sofia Coppola. There's a bajillion I haven't seen, for example, The Godfather and Shawshank Redemption, but I'm working on it.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach English, conversationally, and I could teach someone how to knit. I also have some experience in Pilates and have led sessions for friends. Sharing...I can always share book suggestions. I also want to start an interview project with people I meet, where I will interview them, transcribe the interview, and then of course share it with that person afterwards. Learning...I'd love to learn how to ski. I've done it once and I was atrocious. Would also like to learn how to climb better.
