About Me
Ever since I was a kid, my family and I have maintained our culture through annual México trips to visit tíos, tías, y abuelos. My dad use to road trip us up and down Cali to see the missions and to visit family so my love for travel has a lot to do with building community and connecting with my ancestors. The summer of 2017, I backpacked through Europe. 2019 led me to LA, Portland, and Seattle. I also went to Yucatan and Quintana Roo where I fell in love with Laguna Bacalar, Celestun, cenotes, and the hammock cultura. This year and last I did some traveling within the US due to the pandemic. I made it to Lake Tahoe, the Grand Canyon and Yosemite. Over the summer, I spent a month in Mexico. The first week I stayed in Guanajuato with the fam ⏩ CDMX ⏩ Oaxaca ⏩ Puerto Vallarta. My last trip was to Alaska for my cousin's quinceañera. Currently living in Mexico
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I drove a Couchsurfer from Humboldt County to SF, and she inspired me to travel and to use this app. I ended up using couchsurf to get around Europe, and I met so many great hosts that so graciously let me stay in their homes and took the time to show me around their cities. Also, I want to be able to provide a safe haven for female travelers as it's not always safe for us traveling solo.
