ABOUT ME

I am a 25 year old Australian with a passion for languages, travelling, good food and wine and meeting new people from different cultures and backgrounds....I am of the belief that life is for living, and that it is at its best when all of the above things can be combined!
In February 2010, I packed up my life in Australia to move to Italy...after one and a half years, three jobs, many missed/delayed/cancelled/mistaken trains, uncountable amounts of pizza and pasta, several kilos gained then lost again, a very cold winter and a very hot summer spent living in a Harry Potter-style cupboard in the roof and an ocean's worth of unforgettable memories as well as a handful of those best forgotten ....I'm still here! But not for much longer. As they say, 'home is where the heart is,' and I miss it too much....so, I've booked my flight back to Australia for early December. I've been working like an Egyptian slave (as an Italian friend of mine says!) over summer to save up a few Euros, and I want to live my last few months in Europe to the full!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

While I haven't had an 'official' Couchsurfing experience (hosting or staying with a person met on the site), the 'bed' I have been sleeping on for the past year is actually an extremely skinny, short and uncomfortable couch/futon...does that count?!
