About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Meet artists, craftspeople, see other landscapes and cities, learn farming, converse in foreign languages, new friends

ABOUT ME

Adventurous, playful, and creative.

I'm trying to visit different parts of the rural US. I always seem to lack the money or expertise to realize my nature fantasies.

I love swimming in the ocean and being buoyed by the salt water, and being on a swing.

I enjoy discovering new places and sifting through abandoned houses and buildings. I like when nature overtakes a forgotten structure. Once in Spain my sister and I saw a factory that had been converted into a stable.

I've traveled a bit and think backpacking is the best way to see the world.

PHILOSOPHY

baroque simplicity. beauty divorced from materialism.

I view life as transient.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've stayed with a handful of amazing hosts in the US and abroad, and also gone to several meet-ups. I'm looking forward to when I get a nicer place so I can host, because it seems like a blast!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most enchanting places I've been: an overgrown graveyard in Queens, Olympic National Rainforest in Washington, Shirakawa-go in Japan, Bontida castle in Romania, all of Vermont, and the mountains of Utah. I also loved the Bosphorus in Turkey, Dubrovnik in Croatia, and abandoned Beelitz Sanitorium in Berlin

Teach, Learn, Share

I'd love to practice different languages or share writing. I love a round of dada games, like opposites or exquisite corpse. I can organize your bookshelf by color, or teach your bird to talk.
