About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I'm temporarily on permanent walkabout

ABOUT ME

With a little love and luck you will survive.

Comfort Zones are expanded through Discomfort.

PHILOSOPHY

I am hopeful for where I'm going, I belong in the sun, and I've got a Caribbean soul I can barely control. I'm paying for internet in a third world country right now so song lyrics are the best I can come up with.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Randomly, spontaneously, metaphorically, metaphysically, however I can...

Interests

Outdoor stuff, particularly anything that involves wind and/or water (hiking, surfing, horseback riding, wakeboarding, snowboarding, kayaking, sailing, windsurfing, freediving, climbing trees, beach cleanups), though don't assume I'm any good at any of them. I like live music, and am open to all genres. When I've got downtime I read, draw, play guitar, sing, and swap stories. Kind of a big science nerd (SCIENCE!). I have a secret crochet-ing habit that I don't like to talk about. I specialize in beanies and beer-mittens. Tell me your preferred colors and I might make you one.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: Captain Ron & Boondock Saints

Books: The Ecology of Commerce

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Survived a shark attack and rode a whaleshark. Currently searching for new life goals, having checked those off the list. Most new goals involve riding large sea creatures. But if my parents ask, it's furthering my education and saving the world while still maintaining financial stability.

Teach, Learn, Share

All polar bears are left-handed, and everyone should know how to tie a bowline. I like knots and sea-shanties, and I always wanted to grow up to be a pirate. I will be happy to impart unto you as much useless knowledge and mis-advice I can fabricate from the mad inner-workings of my brain.

Countries I’ve Visited

Bahamas, Belize, Cayman Islands, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Ireland, Lesotho, Namibia, Netherlands, Netherlands Antilles, Nicaragua, Philippines, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, South Africa, Swaziland, Tanzania, Turks and Caicos Islands, Virgin Islands, British, Zambia

Countries I’ve Lived In
