About Me
Hi am an artist, photographer, and mother to two lads 21 and 18. Travel a few times a year mostly Europe. This year have concentrated my travels around my own country as there is so much to see and do on my own doorstep.
I am interested in other people and their cultures and experiencing that through travel and meeting people.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Couchsurfing was recommended to me by a friend and the whole idea intrigued me. Being able to meet and experience people in their own homes is a far better way to travel. Immersion in lives while abroad is far more stimulating. Additionally I believe you get a more in-depth look into varying cultures, people and places and a more beneficial travel experience.
Interests
My interests are varied but mostly surround the world of Art and photography. I have been known to have an over enthusiastic interest in sport. Albeit more on the viewing sides than a participatory role these days. I do enjoy swimming and walking and try to en corporate these into my travels.

Music, Movies, and Books
Not a huge reader but enjoy historical fiction such as George RR Martins current books. Music on the other-hand is varied Portishead, Adele, Amy Winehouse, Bob Marley, and loads more.
Movies, Wes Anderson, practically anything he has directed. Again historically based movies would interest me and also series such as Vikings, Game of Thrones, Black Sails etc.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Apart from bringing up the lads I suppose it was re entering third level education. I still find it quite daunting but am currently half way through a research based M.A.
What I Can Share with Hosts
