About Me

[**IMPORTANT MESSAGE**] ~ VERIFIED MEMBERS ONLY!

Too many fake profiles and predators on this site. If you’re legit, then take time to verify your identity. I’ve been contacted by several fake CS’s who are real predators and only on this site to have sex or gather personal information to steal your money and/or identity. Be smart and protect yourself by requiring members to verify their identity before meeting up socially or allowing unverified people into your home. Be safe and help keep others safe by reporting fake or disturbing profiles to the CS community and authorities.

**************************************************************************************
I’m the girl next door, with an ornery streak (in a good way), and a touch of tomfoolery. I can have fun with just about anyone and enjoy playful banter. I am also very sincere, focused, fearless, and independent. By nature, I am very caring and compassionate, solution oriented, grounded, responsible, and have a great sense of humor. I love people from all walks of life and value the opportunity to connect, engage, and build lasting friendships.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have always wanted to travel the world but have never really had the opportunity while raising my children and working hard all of my life. Now that my children are adults and raising their own families, it's time for me to spread my wings and fly! My grandfather was a world travler/adventurer and shared many of his incredible experiences throughout my life. He even wrote a book on survival called, "Adventure Unlimited" by A.R. Tarr. I still find his books from time to time on Amazon and buy them up every chance I get. His story is quite remarkable so feel free to check him out on Amazon. My grandfather's adventurous spirit is definately in my blood and now that I have the freedom to travel, I'm really looking forward to learning about other cultures through my travels and connecting with some wonderful people. I can't wait to one day share my exciting adventures and experiences with my children and grandchildren. Couchsurfing is such a blessing and will help bring my dream of traveling to fruition. I appreciate everyone who hosts on this site so much, and look forward to meeting you! :)

Music, Movies, and Books

Musically, I have very eclectic tastes. I love everything, as long as there is quality. My favorite genres include but not limited to: Blues, Jazz, Gospel, Funk, Classic Rock, Classical, and World music. I enjoy going to smaller, more intimate venues to hear live music. I also sing, write, and play the cello. The performing arts are very important to me. I enjoy Ballet, Broadway, Opera, Plays, Symphony, Shakespeare in the park, and so much more.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I have a large Manhattan apartment in Midtown at E 46th & 2nd Ave, just one block from the United Nations. Two CS guests can sleep in the master bedroom which has a king size bed and private bathroom. Additional guests can sleep on the two couches in the living room, one is a sleeper sofa!

Convenient location, everything you need is literally right outside the door, including amazing restaurants/bars, grocery, pharmacy, bodegas, rental cars, public transportation and much more. Grand Central, Penn Station, and Ferry transportation not far away! Uber, Lyft, CarShare, and Citibikes are great transportation options as well! Best/cheapest method of travel is Lyft, Buses, Ferry, and CitiBikes.
