ABOUT ME

I love to travel and meet people :-) I'm very open minded and try my best not to judge people until I know them well. I believe that single handedly no one can change the world (for better or for worse!), but we can spread a bit of happiness around as we travel around it.

I'm currently cycling so unfortunately can't host right now, but I hope to meet and share some positive experiences with people along the way.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I ve had the good fortune of meeting with and being hosted by some inspiring people in Europe and South America. CS is an amazing global network that helps us to get to know like minded and interesting people where we are. It has already made a difference to my life, and I hope to be able to give back in the future, when I am able to host.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've been lucky enough to surf with several different hosts in Germany, Denmark, Chile, Netherlands, Argentina, Italy and Spain. Haven't hosted any couch surfers but I have had the pleasure of hosting some warmshowers touring cyclists. Have been to some regular meetings and met some truly inspiring people :-)

Interests

Aside from cycle touring, Im interested in learning more about sustainable living, growing your own food, green technologies and DIY Solutions to things! I love learning new skills, recipes and crafts and have endless ideas for projects.

I spent much of my childhood playing several musical instruments but sadly non of which suitable for my current nomadic lifestyle.

Music, Movies, and Books

Very varied, depends on where i am, what im doing and how im feeling. I grew up playing and listening to classical music, i like jazz, swing, electro swing, country, folk, traditional live music, celtic, andean etc... I dont like chart music, generally. Especially if its being blasted from someones car.

A host recently asked me what the highlight of my cycle tour across Canada has beenand without a doubt the experiences sharing and connecting with people along the way.

Teach, Learn, Share

I speak native English and am a qualified ESL teacher. Also decent amounts of French, German, Spanish and Italian and hoping to improve these and learn more.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can bake pretty good vegan brownies and show you how I grow herbs on my bicycle...
