About Me
Hey, I'm Liz! I'm a software developer usually stationed in San Francisco, CA.
For the next year, I'll be traveling the world (well, parts of it) with my partner in life, Nathan. We began our journey in Thailand on February 5th, and time will tell where we end up next.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I hosted, surfed, and traveled with people I've met off of couchsurfing while I studied abroad in London in 2008. It's an amazing project, and I love being a part of it once more!
Interests
Programming, cycling (road), and exceptionally good coffee. If you can show me a place in town where they execute an amazing pour-over, I will be beyond stoked.
Though recently I've gotten into espresso as well. The piccolo latte isn't served anywhere in the States, and it's amazing!

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm currently reading "The Soul of a New Machine." It's a Pulitzer prize-winning Office Space-esque nonfiction about the creation of a new type of minicomputer in the 80s.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Probably the best travel experience I've ever had is staying with an amazing family in Split, Croatia over Easter one year. They took me in, dragged me out to Easter Vigil mass (all in Croatian), and really made me feel like part of the family.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Nathan and I can help you brew coffee like a pro. I can also help you learn about about programming - I teach a short weekend class on HTML and CSS to 6th graders, and I'd be happy to give anyone a crash course.
Countries I’ve Visited
Austria, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, France, Germany, Hungary, India, Italy, Jamaica, Mexico, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland, Thailand, United Kingdom, United States
