About Me

I have been living in South East Asia for most of the last three years, working for an international non-government organisation that aims to promote social justice and gender equality in developing countries. Most of the time, I can't believe I get paid to do a job that takes me to places that most people would never have the chance to visit - I've been lucky enough to travel to remote areas of Timor-Leste, Laos, Vietnam and Myanmar where I've had the privilege of sharing stories with people who's life experiences are so far from my own. When I'm not working I do yoga, dance, listen to live music, eat vegetarian food and drink good coffee and wine.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Seeking out interesting people and being open to the unexpected.

As a not very organised traveller I haven't had a great deal of experience being hosted. As someone who's lived in share-housing forever, I haven't been able to offer a couch. However, I have had some great experiences meeting up with people I've met on CouchSurfing, making connections that I wouldn't have made otherwise.
