ABOUT ME

I'm energetic and sociable, but sometime I think I find it hard to stop moving and just sit. Music is my passion, but I also take an interest in baking (especially cupcakes, mmmmm), art and photography. I sing, I dance badly and I like dresses :) ...I love to jump in the muddiest puddles, slide down hills on my bum and find the deepest bit of snow that i can throw myself into. Life is what you make it and I make it fun!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Couch surfing makes me smile, all the people I meet, all the peoples amazing adventures I hear. If i get the opportunity to meet them or not, every one is so nice. I wouldn't call it participating in couch surfing as I feel it gives me just as much as I try to give to it. Couch surfing feels more of a way of life than an activity that can only be participated in.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

The world is a warm and friendly place, you just can't be blinded by the bad bits as this is something that comes with everything. Without rain the sunshine would not be appreciated :)

Interests

Music is a major part of my life. I sing with a few friends doing acoustic numbers at open mics, parties and pubs etc, but I've now joined a band consisting of me singing, a bassist and a drummer. It's simplicity is beautiful and after only doing 3 practices and having written 6 songs, I suppose it's simplicity is also the productivity too.
I like cooking and food, however being a student the main contact I have with true mouth watering food is through the many cooking books I read...cooking for one gets sad.
I like animals, which has lead me to study animal conservation at Uni. Hopefully one day I will make it to the rain forest to work with the orang-utans.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music I love! all kinds, well, most kinds. I love the sound of the record as it swooshes round, the crackle of the old vinyl of that band you have been searching for on record for ages and finally found at the bottom of the dusty pile in your local charity shop :) Appologise, that's sounds like an add campaign for records! I sing, and play a little guitar. After studying media a few years back my taste in movies has expanded and I'm always open minded about films introduced to me (unless they involve Zombies, which in that case I will politely decline through the pillow in front of my face)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Singing for Cath Kidston with my step dad was pretty amazing, come to think of it, anytime I sing with my step dad has quite an amazing feeling to it...any time I'm asked to sing by people also has a special feeling to it, it still amazes me and will for ever i expect.

Through out my life I am going to experience many amazing things in all sizes and magnitudes; be it the simple gesture of a Gambian child washing my hands or the mind blowing support of every single one of my friends standing by my side through times of sadness and times of great joy. I held a baby monkey once, that was pretty cool!
