Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It is a great way to meet up with people when travelling, especially when travelling solo. I have met up with some lovely people for exploring places, although I have never stayed with anyone before.

Unfortunately, due to living in a shared house I can't offer a coach to any travellers at the moment but hope to do so in years to come. I am however still always interested in meeting up with people who want to explore London.

Interests

Music is my main interest, perhaps a bit of an obvious statement. I play in a samba band and enjoy going to gigs particularly jazz, samba, batá, rumba and lots of other styles.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: all sorts particularly jazz and Cuban music (batá and rumba especially).

Books: my favourite writer is Louis de Bernieres. I also like Huxley, Joseph Heller, H.G Wells, George Orwell, Salmon Rushdie, Arundhati Roy and Kurt Vonnegut.

Movies: all sorts. I really like Wes Anderson movies and Coen brothers. I also particularly liked A Single Man, I'm Not There and Birdman off the top of my head.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The first thing that springs to mind is being involved with Most Mira, running arts workshops in North Bosnia for teenagers. It was a big project, working with amazing and inspiring people.
