About Me

CURRENT MISSION

ABOUT ME

I like animals, vegetables and minirals- in that order. Seeing and learning new things, experiencing the elements especially water. Mmm.. I really like water (swimming, drinking, diving, surfing etc.)

PHILOSOPHY

love, water, sunshine and trust makes us grow in the best kind of way!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've surfed and hosted quite a few people now and think it rather wonderful. I'm afraid I'm terrible at remembering to leave feedback etc but its all been very positive... I'll endeavourer to get better at that.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've enjoyed hosting a band of cycling medics, surfing whist visiting the Edinburgh fringe, at farms, at a mini circus near the sea and in the jungle. its been grand!

Interests

I like running around in the great outdoors, so called "wild swimming" really grabbed my attention in the last year. I'm keen grower and consumer of plants. I now find myself on the move again until a start a new role of introducing kiddie winks to veggies I'm excited for that but first some cycling....

Music, Movies, and Books

I do like a bit of film watching. I just watched a film about a lawer and a wrestler is called "win win" I'm in no way involved with wrestling or the "law" in any significant way however, I was griped through out. What does the say about me? I'm not sure, perhaps that I enjoy a bit of passive observation of the human journey. I read quite lot... I just read Alice Walker's The Colour purple. again I was griped throughout it was incredible beautiful and very ugly proper gritty like. I struggle with books where everyone is horrid. There has to be some love in there or at least someone to learn from. Evenevery was is horrid for like in the book I just started "the picture of Dorian Gray" I find myself thinking, "Oh dear, I don't want to spend time with these people" but I shall read on in case there is a redeeming feature or in case we discover why they are all so pompous and unkind. as for music there is not enough of this in my life I shall endeavour to pursue it more.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

wreck diving in super cold water, canoeing on a flooded woodland in canada, the top of kilamanjaro, the sunset today, every day, my family at christmas...

Teach, Learn, Share

I know a fair bit about growing things organically and about the organic market in general I'd be happy to share my skills and experience relating to this. I'd like to learn more about navigation and planning long distance cycle routes effectively.
