About Me
CURRENT MISSION
to experience hoard, and cure my itchy feet!
ABOUT ME
I like to think of myself as fun loving, easy going, and up for adventure! I also recently discovered my one true passion: to act, and I am going to work as an actress after college.
Otherwise; I'm British, and because my dad works for international development I've moved all over the world - I was born in Sri Lanka, and have since lived in The Phillippines, England, Tanzania, and now America. Now I have a syndrome which I call "itchy feet" - every now and again, I just HAVE to travel... among other things I have visited Amsterdam, grape picked in France, sailed the Caribbean, and bartended and au paired for a family with two autistic boys in Montreal!
I'm now at Brown University in Providence Rhode Island, and am having fun, studying hard (ish). I like feeling as if I'm living for the moment - People, experiences, travel, fun. I act as much as I can here, so I'm happy.
PHILOSOPHY
I feel its ridiculous living for the past or for the future... the future never comes, so you never get to live it, and the past you can never bring back, so basically in the ideal world I would live everything for the now, and enjoy each second. - I'm still working on it! That doesn't mean raping or pillaging people, that means making the most out of each moment, each interaction, each stranger.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I participate by building memories with CSers. By sharing something.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I joined when I was eighteen, which was four years ago. I have mainly travelled (been a couch sleeper), but I've been to meets, and met up with CSers to go to events, and I have never had a bad experience. Stayed with a couple of great hosts, and met a couple of people at meets in London etc, - each time I've had a great time and can't wait for more opportunities.
Interests
ACTING!!! sailing, travel, exploring!!! Sunshine, experiences, meeting new people, exploring, dancing, laughing, living, independent little projects and goals, did I mention I'm an actress? I enjoy creating stories. (and coming home from travel having stories to tell!)

Music, Movies, and Books
books: the princess bride, life of pi, the photograph, many others, but I can't really think of them as of yet. I don't have a favorite, but once I get into a book I can't put it down.
music: usually techno trancey stuff to work and jam to, and anything popular with a beat to dance to!
movies: I don't really watch movies, but when I do I'm like hey, I should do this more often! ummm.... disney obviously, accepted, 10 things I hate about you, the green mile, powder, lots.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I hit a storm in the Caribbean. The 36ft home-made yacht boat recorded a 13 meter wave. fun to talk about now, pretty exhilarating and nerve wrecking at the time.

Teach, Learn, Share
I teach: nothing is as bad as it seems - picture yourself now and your problems - picture yourself from the ceiling, picture yourself looking down on your town, your country, your world, the universe - we are tiny - our problems are tinier.
we however are not insignificant. "if we only lived for one second, and in that second used a pair of tweezers to move one grain of sand in the sahara one millimetre, we would have, in our lives changed the sahara" - Extremely loud and incredible close. If we can change a desert what can we do to people, the ones we love, the ones we don't, strangers, groups, nations.
I learn: whatever I can.
I want to share: photos, memories fun, friendship.
