Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To become fluent (or at least closer to being fluent) in German. To reconnect with my ancestral German roots. To explore the world I encounter and expand myself in as many areas as imaginable.
ABOUT ME
I am a young woman eager to discover the world around me and make meaningful connections with those I interact with. I love meeting new people and having random conversations wherever I go. I pride myself on being productive, and I am happiest when I am active. I enjoy (nearly) any adventure imaginable.
PHILOSOPHY
I get so much inspiration from my friends and family, and I hope to encourage the people in my life to feel inspired as well. Life is beautiful. My goal is to give back to the world around me; I always hope to leave things at least a little better than I found them.
"The most wasted of all days is one without laughter."
E. E. Cummings
"What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us."
Walt Emerson

Currently reconnecting with this site after three years. Hoping to travel around Europe in late April and early May.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've been fortunate to couch surf with many different people when traveling throughout Europe for 3 months nearly 3 years ago. I have had wonderful experiences on these occasions. I don't mind sharing space with others, in fact I enjoy being around people (nearly) constantly.
Interests
Learning German, poetry and creative writing, snowboarding, swimming, hiking, knitting, theatre, traveling, animals, art of all kinds, playing guitar and learning new music.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Visited Austria and put my four years of German classes to use in speaking and understanding the language around me. It was the most fulfilling experience to sit on the subway and overhear a very sweet conversation between a mother and her child spoken in German! And I could follow it completely (not just cause it was a conversation between a child either)!
Teach, Learn, Share
As I am a native English speaker, I would love to share this knowledge in the foreign countries I will be visiting. I also know a bit of German which could help in this exchange in Austria and Germany. I can always attempt to share my German skills with anyone interested too.
Countries I’ve Visited
Austria, Czech Republic, England, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Netherlands, Slovakia, United Kingdom
Countries I’ve Lived In
Germany, United States
