Our names are Lizzy and Nuria we are both studying education for Erasmus+ at the University of Han in Nijmegen. I (Lizzy) am from the UK not far from the Peak district. I am 29 therefore I am a mature student studying Special Educational Needs and Disability (BA Hons) at the University of Derby. With the hope and passion to become a Special Needs teacher in some capacity. I have worked with children from birth to 19 years old for the last 13 years. I do volunteering and in the summer I take 60 most deserving children along with 30 other volunteers of which i am in charge of, camping for one week. I am also a brownie leader which is 7-11 year old girls through girl guiding.

I (Nuria) am from Barcelona. I am turning 22 this April. Back home I am studying Nursery and primary education at the University of Barcelona. I have always wanted to become a teacher and I am happy to say that I am working really hard to make my dream become a reality. I am also a volunteer Scout leader because I believe learning can be done outside of school as well as in schools. I am learning to play the piano in my spare time as well as learning new languages.

We both want to use the opportunity of being abroad to meet as many people and see as many places all over the world as possible. We love to learn new things and explore new places with people who know the area. We are both interested in not only historic knowledge but also fascinating facts only local people know.

We are both studying at Universities back home Nuria is studying Nursery and primary education at the University of Barcelona and Lizzy is studying Special Educational Needs and Disability.

Both Myself and Nuria have a very varied taste in music our playlists range from Disney to rock music. We are fans of chickflicks, romantic comedies as well as action movies like Marvel. I (Lizzy) am a massive fan of Margret Dickinson as she writes about strong female leads around the victorian and war times. Nuria is a fan of Jane Austin for her writing as well as her as a person.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I (Lizzy) lived in Canada for 2 months with family to help look after my cousins children as she had twin babies and a 3 year old and was going through the process of being diagnosed with Motor Neurone disease. During my time I helped with the children as well as helped my cousin. We went for small holidays so that she could enjoy her time with the children while they were young. It was the hardest but most rewarding experience of my life. She is now still alive on a machine in the hospital and her children are now 10 and 13. She is an inspirational person and I am grateful to have had that time with her.

Another amazing thing we have both done is coming on Erasmus+ we have both met people from all over the world and we are learning new things everyday and we also both met each other on this exchange as we were both the only ones from our own countries whereas lots of people have come with friends.

On this Erasmus+ exchange we are both learning so much about the wider world so that we can teach the children of the future the endless possibilities that our world has to offer.

We can teach you traditional recipes from our home countries for example afternoon tea or "tortilla de patatas" (Omelette with potatoes).

Fun facts about other European countries as we both have been learning while living with people from other countries.

Nuria can also teach Spanish language and Lizzy can teach English language.

We are open to teach learn and share as it is what we want to do everyday in our jobs.
