My friends call me easy going. I like to have fun.I am a mother of two.

PHILOSOPHY

I like to live in rural West Virginia. Every day I wake up and look out the window and say what a beautiful place. We try to live as sustainably as we can. We both wish to stay off the grid. Living the way we do is harder for most people, but all in all life is good.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I would like to meet new people and open my home here in West Virginia. I like the idea of people doing the same for me. Come have a home cooked meal and share stories and adventures together. Make your travels more fun and less stressful.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We drove our daughter to Toronto, Canada so she could take the train to Quebec to finish a French language class for college. We stayed with a couch surfer in St. Marys, Canada. He was a young college student, who had a large house he was renting. The three of us stayed there for 2 days. We had a wonderful time. We each had our own room and we all helped with the cooking and other chores. He showed us his town and we all had a great time.

Intereses

I love taking long hikes with my dogs. I have a large garden where we put up about 70% of our food for the year. I love to cook all kinds of food. I love to travel.

Just recently, both our children got married in the same summer (2 months apart) Talk about a great undertaking for them and us. A little love goes a long way.

I could take people out to the woods and collect natural material. We would come back to the house and in one afternoon we could make a basket.
I could also have a gardening activity to do.
Things I would like to learn more about would be photography. I would also like to learn how to sew. I have a treadle machine that I don't know how to use.
