Spending winter in Brazil.

ABOUT ME

Running my own business so usually working quite a lot. The sunny side is that I try to take at least 3 months a year off - so why not leave to Brazil for the winter! I have some friends from Montreal in Porto Alegre and Salvador - so I was planning to go south for a while than meet up with my other friend in Salvador for Carnevale.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have just hosted and surfed occiasionally as I have been moving around for work quite a lot. Planning to do some surfing while travelling then host when I get my next place.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Only very good experiences so far. Couchsurfing is pretty awesome.

I love to cook when I have a proper kitchen - although last time I made lasagna the oven exploded on me. I also pretty good at making deserts - and I even bake occasionally. :)

Very interested in music and cinema. I usually get pretty familiar with the "alternative" art scene (whatever that means) and good venues to see live bands when I've been staying in a city for a while. They say you stop listening to new music at age 33 but I am not so sure about that. Favourites bands might be to Wilco and Pavement - right now there is this guy Mac DeMarco...

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Traveled Asia when I was much younger (20 years old) without very much money - which was my first and perhaps most intense traveling experience. Since then I have been traveling quite a lot: attended university in Japan for a couple of months, lived in Germany for a year, worked in Latin America for a year or so (Mexico, Uruguay, Colombia), worked a few places in the United States and currently living in Canada. Been some really good times.
