ABOUT ME

I am a mammal in the process of trying to enjoy and understand this old thing called life. People, books, travel and my guitar all help me along.

I have been everything from a fruit picker to a business owner, a writer and magazine editor to a charity founder. I grew up on a farm and have yearned for a while to get back to the country (where using the word 'yearn' is much more acceptable). Now I'm back - living in the bush, not far from the beaches of Brunswick Heads and Byron Bay

I've travelled quite a lot, independently and as a travel writer, but plan to do more.

*some of my photos are old, but I leave them on to remind myself that I didn't always have rapidly greying hair!

To make genuine connections with people, not just to save $ on a night's accommodation. I enjoy spending time with those who are a bit left of centre, kind, compassionate, witty, unconventional. I like to meet people who have a story to share, who have unusual/interesting hobbies, passions, plans, ideas.

I'm interested in humanity, sustainability, music, travel, books, puns, dad jokes, cycling, hiking, meditating and grapefruit.
