In 2014 I took a train cross-country from Chicago to San Francisco. I couch surfed around the bay area and hitched a ride to Monterey and Carmel where I fell in love with the charming pace of life. When I got back to New York City, I quit my job at a startup, moved out of my apartment, and into a bed and breakfast in Brooklyn where I lived and worked full time. I later realized it was time to get out of the city, so I roadtripped down to Nashville and back, camping at music festivals and couch surfing along the way. I soon ended up Door County, WI leading kayak and zipline tours that summer and fall, until I decided to move back to New York City where I've been since the fall of 2016.

Well.. it's hit me again and I'm moving out of NYC without a destination. My current job sends me all over the US, so I get to travel to many cities and places I never expected to visit! I try to spend a few extra days wherever I travel to for work, so I can meet locals and experience the place I’m in!

I really love nature and am always up for a hike (as long as we have a backpack full of snacks).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like to feel like I live in a place when I visit, even if it's only for a few days or a few hours! I must know: where is the best coffee? Where can I catch some live music? Do you want to come with? Where is the nearest park, waterfall, or hiking trail??

Interests

I've been sober for almost two years and I love dark chocolate 😜

When I'm not traveling for work, I spend as much time as possible in the mountains of Vermont where my boyfriend lives. I'm also working on renovating a cabin in the woods there.
