About Me

CURRENT MISSION

to put my feet in every major body of water in the world

ABOUT ME

I think one of the first words used to describe me would be "random". Most of my friends follow my random musings about life and my random ideas for adventures but I suppose it throws off some people at first.

I am always down for some shenanigans! I love having spontaneous adventures. I also love meeting new people. My friends joke that it's impossible to be shy around me because I can usually talk to anyone.

I laugh very easily and cannot stand negative people. Dramatic people are annoying. I love running in the rain and I love random nights with awesome people.

PHILOSOPHY

don't eat yellow snow.....seriously...don't do it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Currently I am just a surfer but I cannot wait till I have a place where I am able to host!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Just new to the whole world of CS but I had my friend CS experience in Dublin and Cork (Ireland) and LOVED it! It's so nice to come to a new city and know people there already. I hate getting caught up in the "touristy" things and missing the real life of a city.

Interests

I love to laugh and absolutely love making others laugh. I enjoying running in sunshine, fog, rain, etc. I think that meeting new people and going new places should be a goal for everyone. I think that you learn so much about the world when you really open up your eyes to the viewpoints of others and you learn a lot about yourself when you challenge yourself to go outside your comfort zone.

My family and friends are everything to me and I am grateful everyday for them.

As I said before, I love random shenanigans and having adventures whether it is a good night out at some bars, an insane roadtrip with friends or a spontaneous hike in the mountains.

Music, Movies, and Books

I LOVE music! I once had someone ask me what my favorite song was and I think I went into shock of some sort. I mean, how the heck can someone choose there favorite song. you can't! They tried to let me choose a favorite album or artist and I just couldn't do it. Music is all about the emotion you are in (wow...I just got deep with that).

I love Movies and I suppose it's the same thing as music...I can't choose a favorite. BUT, I do hate scary movies! Why would you ever pay to get scared!? I will never understand that.

I love reading. I wish I had more time for it. I love getting lost in a book and I really like when you get into a series of books because you can just keep reading them one and the other.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of the most incredible experiences for me was skydiving the first time...I've been three times and I'm afraid I am hooked! The insane feeling of being launched out of an airplane and the sudden rush of wind in my face. Gah!!! It was incredible and I found that all I could do was smile and laugh even though the sound was lost immediately as I flew towards Earth. If only I could fly!

I have done sports all my life and discovered long distance running (cross country) in high school and was fortunate to be placed on the varsity team. Although many of the workouts were insane-muscle-cramping-sweat-inducing-moments that I would choose to forget they are a part of my story and any athlete will understand the thrill of realizing you have made it through these moments. If you aren't an athlete...you just don't get it. I remember one workout that I will forever love. Imagine 12 girls doing 1200 repeats at about 5:30 minute mile pace through a park...now add pouring rain to that. God! It was incredible. It was raining so hard that cars weren't even out on the streets! The rain came down so hard that it bounced up from the ground all the way up to my waist. And it was AMAZING! Best workout of my life! We all just did it. I don't think one single person complained. It was all about the workout and the rain just intensified our commitment to the sport.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach anyone how to crochet a beanie and scarf! how to make the BEST chili ever, how to do a handstand on someone else, how to cut a mango perfectly (a very useful skill obviously haha)

I love learning from others and just learning different viewpoints that others have.
