CURRENT MISSION

I'm currently trying to finish my PhD for which I've spent two periods of fieldwork in Indonesia working on Muslim sexual minorities. I have a lot of stories to tell if you're interested in this topic! :D

ABOUT ME

Hello! My name is Diego and I'm from Spain. I'm 25 years old and after living in Spain, Finland, South Korea and Sweden, I'm now living in Irvine, California, until the middle of June when I'll be back in London, where I'm studying a PhD in Gender and Sexuality studies.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I don't have a long couchsurfing experience, although I registered a long time ago I haven't couchsurfed that much, but I hope to make some great connections worth remembering. I'm excited to share experiences with new people.

I'm more into documentaries and real stories, but sometimes I don't say no to a good comedy. I often prefer to watch series, some of my favourites are Orange is the New Black, Black Mirror, Game of Thrones, Breaking Bad,House of Cards, Homeland, Masters of Sex,Under the Dome...

I like indie and alternative music. Bands I like are Arcade Fire, Beach Fossils, El Guincho, Junip, Army of Lovers, Yelle, The Magic Numbers, Metronomy, Sleigh Bells, Yeasayer, Lo-Fi-Fnk, Phoenix, Animal Kingdom, Joy Division, The Smiths, Blondie, Passion Pit, Empire of the Sun, Peaches, Fanfarlo...

The kind of books I'm reading these last years are mostly about Asia as I'm studying Asian Studies. I'm interested in gender and religion, so I mostly read about these topics.
