About Me
CURRENT MISSION
get to know people around the globe one day at a time
ABOUT ME
I am motivated in life by finding happiness and good health; money is the root of all evil. Easy going and always honest. I enjoy listening to music (all kinds, right now I am going thru an Acid Jazz phase).
I am active and enjoy sports and have recently taking up Pilates, I find it great. I like mountain biking, scuba diving, horse back ridiing, raquetball, beach volleyball, hiking, snowboarding and going to the gym. You can say that I am a big Nike "Dry fit" fan and will only wear this gear when doing sports but when it comes to proper exercise shoes, Nike does not match to the competition. Asics is by far the best jogging shoe for pronators.
But my real passion is in mountain bikes, dont ask me how much I spent in my last MTB (Santa Cruz Blur-LT with X9-XC components).my infatuation gets worse, I own three other MT bikes. I know I will never use all of them but each has its purpose.
I like to exercise my cardiovascular system and keep it at a healthy beat. But this does not mean I do not enjoy the finer things in life; like eating a good meal and drinking a good wine.
I love to cook all sorts of food and try new recipes every time I get a chance. I wouldn't say I am the best chef but I certainly can throw it down. I have not cooked recently because I only cook for myself and that is no fun. I have higher expectations in the culinary arts and take no exceptions.
examples: there is no such thing as take out sushi, fresh sushi made on the spot, No Exceptions.
barista is not just a word, it is an art.
Never buy pre-graded Parmesan Cheese, unless you don't know what real Parmigiano Reggiano tastes like.
Bordeaux wines are over rated, etc. etc. can go on and on but you get the point.
it seems like I do my fair share of reading but I almost never read for Leisure, I have to learned something out of what I am reading.
I like photography, mostly black and white. I have been trying to get into digital photography. in the process of buying a professional camara, if ever (30D, Canon)
I don't go out much on weekend nights, at least not anymore. I have opted to use my weekends and do any outdoor activity during the day. I love the beach and the feeling of the sun hitting my skin, especially the salty feeling, almost stickly like, after having spend a day at the beach. I take long mountain bike tours around the swiss moutains and lakes. see this site on some awesome routes around switzerland.

moderate drinking pertains to my repertoire and getting smashed with alcohol is not my ideal party, there might be some exeptions in the year but reserved for special occasions.
PHILOSOPHY
treat other like you would like other to treat you
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have had the pleasant expeerience to host 2 or 3 people.
I do have a regular 9 to 6+ job, so it is hard to take time out from everyday life to spend some time with your visitors, but I have had a great time getting to know different people and would like to continue doing it.
