About Me

Hello! my name is Lloyd and I am a 25 year old student currently studying Economics and Finance at The University of Bologna in Italy. I am half English and half Rhodesian. I have had the fortune and pleasure to have lived in many different countries and experience a multitude of different cultures. The thing I love most in life is people and the stories they have to share, often times people think that their own individual story is not interesting but I disagree, I find it fascinating to learn about other people and to have them share their experiences with me. I am a big fan of cooking and would love to learn from others about their cuisine and how to prepare the food myself!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am making a trip of a lifetime to Iran! I have wanted to visit for some time after learning about the history of the country. I have had the pleasure of having met and made friends with some Iranians and they have all been very welcoming, kind and warm. I love to learn about other people and their life experiences and would love the opportunity to do so with a host on here! I would also like to learn some Iranian recipes. So far I have only made Fesenjan, Tahdig and some lavashak, (koobideh kebab is next on the list!) I would love to lean more.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Made a wheelchair for my best friend, my dog, from PVC piping and bicycle trainer wheels after he slipped his disk in his spine and was unable to walk. Thankfully he was not put down as a result and is still with us today, going strong!
