Now I have more time I want to do some more travelling, meet people and see things.

ABOUT ME

I am an easy going person I love to meet new people and see new things particularly nature. I haven't done any real travelling for so long, but since retiring I have more time on my hands so no work commitments.

PHILOSOPHY

Enjoying all that is around us. We live in a world that is moving too fast that it is so easy to loose touch with the everyday things in life, the small things especially. Stand where you are and remember all the blue objects you can see whilst counting up to three. Close your eyes and remember what red objects you saw.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am looking to meet new people and make new friends, I do really want to travel now I have more time (wish I had more money though). I have heard people say CS is a great organisation, I must go to some of the local events to meet people and get to know more about their experiencies.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Just been to my local (nearest) group meet up at Plymouth 24th June 2012, only 6 of us but great guys, everyone got on well with each other.

I have not had any couch surfing experience yet but have been on group holidays, 3 weeks camping in Norway (2 to a tent) and a previous 10 day tour again in Norway but not so far up. The 3 week trip we went as far as the North Cape, travelling on land all the way up. This was quite a few years ago.

Interests

Number one photography, places and people (portrait and outdoors). I love animals, domestic and wild and nature. I like the theatre and going to the cinema, Have recently been going to smaller events as my local theatre has got too pricy .I love the cinema and prefer to watch foreign and art house, often there is a better storyline than mainstream films that rely on loads of OTT effects. I love walking in the countryside or beside the sea, I like museums and art galleries and meeting artists and creatives.

Music, Movies, and Books

As I have said I love the cinema, I love to watch shorts but don't get much opportunity. I help at the Cornwall Film Festival each year which gives me the opportunity and it doesn't cost me anything. I love music, especialy live bands, not a lot at home though. I am not a fiction reader but love technical /instruction books.
