Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have had many 'couch surfing' friends to our place over the past couple of years, but have only recently found this website. It's a fantastic way for travelers to enjoy their journey cheaply and safely.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

When traveling through Vietnam in 2008, we met a Dutch couple on the first leg of our trip. We kept running in to each other as we traveled southbound. We became great friends over the next couple of weeks and found that they were on their way to Australia, and 6 months later they came to stay with us for 3 weeks in Sydney. They were eternally grateful to have free accom, a clean bathroom and a warm bed. They cooked us an amazing farewell dinner and we look forward to catching up with them in Holland one day.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Its so difficult to pick one thing as we have so many fantastic experiences but one would definately be when we traveled Cambodia and climbed the temples of Ankor wat. Amazing Temples, history, food and people
