About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Get out of the country for a bit

ABOUT ME

I'm back in the US after a two year stint abroad in Cape Verde. I've settled in Washington, DC and started working for an international development contractor. I love my city and my job. Nice how things work out like that.

I love traveling and I'm going to couchsurf around the world someday.

I come from a family of chefs and eaters. We are all obsessed with food, and I will eat basically anything and probably enjoy it.

PHILOSOPHY

Relax.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've got a nice apartment in a great neighborhood. Stop by.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Lots of crashing on couches in college and in my world travels since. Plus, I slept on my friend's couch for 6 weeks before I found a job and a house in DC. Otherwise, I hosted a handful of people while I was living in Cape Verde and had a blast with all of them.

Interests

Top 3: food (that includes wine, beer and scotch), music, history. Also: archaeology, football (American!), baseball, skiing, windsurfing, hiking, beer, large bodies of water, books, etc

Music, Movies, and Books

Oh no. No no no. I couldn't possible begin to fill this out. I have an obsession with music that borders on the lunatic, and I don't want to play the "how many bands can I list in my online profile" game. Ditto for books.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I danced on a stage on the beach in Brazil until 8 or 9 in the morning on New Year's 2005, watching the sun come up over the beach and squishing fruit between my toes. It was a defining moment.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have a creepy ability to remember facts and oddities for years. I'll regurgitate them for you.

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, Brazil, Canada, France, Ireland, Kenya, Liberia, Mexico, Monaco, Senegal, Vatican City State

Countries I’ve Lived In

Cabo Verde, Italy, United States
