I recently joined on the advice of a friend who hosts and has been hosted all over the world who has only had positive experiences meeting new people, and getting off the beaten path. I'd prefer to meet locals when I travel and would like to be a local to others in my home town.

I prefer reading long detailed histories, just finished the LBJ series! Music, I enjoy almost anything live, and would like showing people small local music joints. Prone to listening to Bowie, Rush, and Lucinda Williams in my down time.

I'm quite a decent cook, and have an extensive repertoire of food history and ingredient knowledge. I can tell edible plants and mushrooms from non-edible and make wicked omelets with the collected ingredients!
