About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Never be boring.

ABOUT ME

I grew up in a beach town north of San Diego. I went to college just outside of Boston, then spent nearly a year and a half traveling over land and sea from my hometown to the very tip of Argentina. I love to travel, take pictures, hike in the mountains, ride bicycles, and read with a cat in my lap.

PHILOSOPHY

There isn't anyone anywhere that isn't Seymour's Fat Lady.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm new to Couch Surfing! I met some surfers who were staying with a friend and thought it sounded like a pretty neat idea.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Once I went to a CS party in Colombia...

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm awfully fond of Salinger's Glass family work, especially Zooey. I think Jane Austen is one of the funniest ladies around, and I really like Tolstoy, though his philosophical musings can be a bit too theoretical for my taste. A Tree Grows in Brooklyn was my first favorite book. I also really liked The Time Traveler's Wife, A Confederacy of Dunces, On the Road, Atlas Shrugged, The Hitchhiker's Guide, and I'm not above Harry Potter or Twilight.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Chasing penguins in Antarctica!

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm okay with a digital camera, and I'd love to learn more about film processing and developing. I'm a terrible driver and not a great cook, though I've only gotten in two major car accidents and I can make curry from a package. I know a lot about math.

Countries I’ve Visited
