About Me

Just an easygoing, fun-loving guy from Northern California looking to travel whenever possible and meet some great people along the way.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It's been a while since I've been active on Couchsurfing, but I've had some amazing experiences hosting and being hosted through it in the past. Looking to get back into the swing of things...If you're ever traveling through Northern California, Chico is a really great off-the-beaten path little town that is full of friendly people, a great music/arts scene, lively farmers markets, scenic swimming holes, and tasty (and cheap) food and drink. Come visit!

Music, sports, cooking, and good friends are a few of my favorite things.

Music, Movies, and Books

Lots of music. Pretty much anything, from rock, to hip-hop and jazz. I tend to mostly listen to rock and indie stuff though. Some of my current and all-time favorites: Grandaddy, Fugazi, The Magnetic Fields, Pavement, Harry Nilsson, Bob Dylan, Ween, A$AP Rocky, Air, Nicolas Jaar, Talking Heads. Love exploring music from other countries. If you come visit from abroad, bring some! Movies are great too.

Teach, Learn, Share

Chico doesn't seem like much when you look it up on a map, but it's got a ton to offer and is a nice respite if you're coming from the Bay Area (much easier on the wallet as well). Definitely worth checking out for a day or two on the way to your next road trip destination.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I live solo in a 1BR house just a few short blocks to downtown. I'm also a 10 minute walk to lower Bidwell Park, which has a great natural swimming pool and is a great place to spend the day.

My place isn't huge, but the couch is up for grabs, along with floor space if you've got an air mattress. I'm very easy-going in regard to hosting, assuming you're friendly, courteous, and at least somewhat cleanly, that is :) Would be happy to show you around, get some drinks, and check out whatever happens to be going on around town.
