About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Travel is all about leaving our prejudices at home and changing cultures to experience the diversity of human traditions

ABOUT ME

My friends define me as the 'crazy' girl who would risk her life to jump off planes, cliffs and towers. You got it....I'm an extreme sports buff and nothing satisfies me more than an adrenaline-pumped free fall from high above.

PHILOSOPHY

The pessimist sees the difficulty in every opportunity. The optimist sees the opportunity in every difficulty.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My first couchsurfing experience was in Paris and my only regret was that due to time constraints, I didn't get to spend enough time with my host to learn more about each other's culture and language. Having said that, Couchsurfing provides the best opportunity for one to immerse in a foreign culture the local way!

Interests

Extreme sports, travelling, photography, music, reading and animals.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The student exchange program that I participated while I was studying in Australia has etched on my mind ever since. I was assigned to two rural schools to impart my knowledge about my country to young students. The students haven't had much exposure to foreign visitors but nonetheless, they opened up their hearts to make me feel so welcome that I had a hard time leaving them. I had an awesome time teaching them to make a Malaysian handicraft and by the end of the lesson, one of the young students passed me a short note thanking me for what I've done. It was a simple gesture but it touched my heart deeply. It's hard to forget the laughter that we shared when I taught another class how to whip up a simple Malaysian dish. It was sheer joy to watch their delightful little faces when everyone participated eagerly in the cooking process. At the end of the program, we were cordially invited by the local residents to join in the German Lanternfest and it was an unforgettable experience.

For other amazing things that I've seen or done, you will have to meet me in person for more stories. To be continued.....:)
