About Me
I'm from Detroit, Michigan, and I studied early childhood education at the University of Missouri. I taught English in South Korea and was an au pair in Naples, Italy for a year each. Now, I'm back in the states attending graduate school.
My passions are teaching children and traveling. I want to help people and make a difference.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Hosting, surfing, and events.
I've hosted and attended lots of events. I really enjoy checking out CS events when I visit a new place to meet local people and fellow travelers.
Interests
Games (board, card, drinking, or a combination thereof), reading, learning new things, dancing. I'm really interested in learning or experiencing just about anything as long as someone is passionate about it.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love almost all music, and will stop and listen to anything live.
BOOKS. Some of my (current) favorites are: Ender's Game, Everything is Illuminated, Harry Potter everything, Slaughterhouse-Five, The Martian, The Lock Artist, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, The Importance of Being Earnest, and Neverwhere. I mostly read contemporary fiction, but I also like biographies and memoirs. Anything that will make me laugh is fair game.

Teach, Learn, Share
I studied education at my university and have worked with children for years, but I also enjoy talking about the world and people in general. I am very interested in learning as much as I can about everything, so sometimes I like to shut up and listen. I hope to get involved in the policy-making process one day to improve America's education system.
