I’m a 37 year old mom to two. I’ve lived a life full of adventure and spontaneity and am happy to be finding excitement in the mundane moments of parenting.

PHILOSOPHY

Not all who wander are lost. But I've recently discovered that having a home base is nice too!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

i host and am hosted. i spread the word to potential surfers. i listen and laugh to and with the other surfers i meet.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

have surfed officially for many years now, and have hosted my fair share of surfers too.
I've stayed on plenty of friend's couches all over the united states...and friends of friends, and friends of friends of friends...as well as some in Central America, Europe. and Japan. it's way better to stay with people--the food is better, and the atmosphere is, well, homey. I have enjoyed a cup of tea many times with strangers. I've knocked on doors and asked to put my tent up, have only been refused twice.

music: ben harper, jack johnson, nickel creek, chris thile, damien rice, willie nelson good ole bobby dylan, kalai, brett dennen, ray la montagne...and the list goes on.
books: a heartbreaking work of staggering genius, what is the what, a confederacy of dunces, the cs lewis space trilogy; for whom the bells toll (or is it the bell tolls, i can never remember. Since I became a teacher I've rediscovered children's literature: Bud, Not Buddy, Judy Blume, the percy jackson series.

saw my dog carry a frog around in her mouth by one leg--setting it down when she wanted to play. that was pretty amazing. I’ve take.
