About Me

I don't really know where to start. Let me introduce myself. My name is Antonio Lopez, although my nickname is Toni. I am a 39+1 years old citizen of this wonderful world, born in Spain. My partner Yenisei (39) and me have been travelling and living in Asia since 2010 as a means to grow through encounters and all the diverse experiences a Real Journey can offer.
We are pretty normal people, polite, sociable, fun and friendly.

This is our travel blog if you want to know more about us.

PHILOSOPHY
Be the change that you wish to see in the world.
World peace starts with inner peace.
Life is too short, live the present, don't wait until the future to do something.
Don't forget that soon I will be dead is the most powerful tool for living the life with fullness.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We (my partner and me) have been travelling most of the time in the last 8 years but we never used couchsurfing until our last journey we have just finished with our bicycles for 7 months and 12 countries around Europe.

I would like to give back to other people for all the enormous kindness, hospitality and generosity we have received from people from all over the world when we have been travelling, people believe that world is still a good place to live. Offer our home to others travellers is a good way to pay back.

When I think about places I've visited, first thing I remember is the people I met there. What makes a place interesting to me is the people and I love to know how people with different lifestyle and culture than the environment I grew up, they live their life. Couchsurfing for us is an opportunity to learn about different cultures and exchange life experiences.

Interests

I love animals and nature, so I always try to be connected and in touch with them. I love the outdoors and living simply in harmony with Nature. Yoga, hiking, walking, vegetarian food and healthy life in general...and much more, too many to list.
I enjoy good conversations and reflexions.

I am quite aware with the environment, therefore I have made a blog with things we all can do to slow climate change (sorry but for the time being I haven't translate to english yet):

Music, Movies, and Books

BOOKS
Non-fiction that has the ability to upset my existing ideas/beliefs. I like reading autobiographies of personalities who have brought positive change to our world. In the last years I've read a lot of Buddhist and books of spiritual teachers. My master, Eckhart Tolle.

MUSIC
I like Spanish pop and rock but I will give anything a chance, especially when is live music. Most of the time I prefer the sound of silence.

MOVIES
I don’t like too much watch movies. I always find better things to do. I choose documentaries or inspiring movies who make me think questioning things in life.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Eight years back from now, We made the decision to change our live wiht the purpose of living a simpler and more free live and follow our innate passions leaving everything (stable jobs with regular incomes, home, family, friends... that is to say our comfort zone) and travelling for almost all this time. And this experience has literally changed our inner and outer World.

Teach, Learn, Share

I always want to improve my English. I can teach some phrases in Spanish if you like. I can also tell you about the Spanish culture.
If you like Spanish meals I can cook something for you.
I have an open mind and I am always ready to listen and learn.
