About Me

HELP UKRAINE

Fully vaccinated

I am mostly driven by curiosity and hopefully conscientiousness.

Unfortunately I don't travel as much as I used to because I currently work full time as a kindergarten teacher, but I think I retain the same level of curiosity and sincerity.

I love art and I strive to have as much art as possible in my life and I like people who are smarter than me (rhere are many types of intelligence so I mostly mean people who can teach me something I don't know.

I gradually realized that I'm not as much interested in travelling to countries which languages I don't speak so I use any opportunity to widen this circle.

Also I'm secretly Snufkin from the Moomins series.

I'm fine with copying request messages to me because I respect your time (so no hidden passwords in this page), just act like I'm special.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Since most of the people in the world can't afford to travel as a result of various political and socio-economic reasons that are not always dependent on them, so I think it's important to be mindful of this and use my privilege to make an attempt to understand a place I'm visiting, to understand the weight of historical, socio-political etc cirmcumstances.

Interests

I'm interested in so many things at the same time that often I'm biting more than I can chew and make untenable grandiose plans (learning a bunch of languages, drawing, making music, reading a bunch of books at the same time, finding interest in different sciences etc

Teach, Learn, Share

Even though I'm not a big authority in any field of knowledge, I'm always happy if I'm able to deliver any little knowledge I have.
I used to study linguistics and I kind of still make my whole personality about it. Sometimes I can explain some hidden peculiarities of the way your language's grammar works but can't even say "Hello" in it.
I beg you pardon in advance If it'll look I'm approaching you like a zoologist approaching some rare species if you are speaker of a language I'm interested in.

I like to ramble about cinema, as it's objectively true that I've watched more movies than most people of my age.

I don't have a strong sense of national or whatever else identity, it's quite fluid (almost like my gender identity) so my natural habitat is multicultural and multilingual.

Also I hope it's fairly obvious I don't accept any form of bigotry.

Please teach me your languages so I can add it to my Frankenstein monster of an identity.

Countries I’ve Visited
