ABOUT ME

I am a preschool teacher during the week and also work in the grooming department at Petco on the weekends. I volunteer and participate in the foster care program with the SPCA so there is a possibility that I may have some foster kittens during your visit. I am a pretty easy going person. I am happy with both a relaxing night home or out exploring the town.

PHILOSOPHY

Life is too short to waste it away sitting around experiencing the same things day after day.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am willing to participate in both hosting and surfing. I've got a guest room with two twin beds, another spare room with a futon that folds into a double bed. I also have a couch if things get real busy.

Depending on the visitor's time availability and interests, I would love to provide them with a positive experience of the area I live in. I enjoy taking people to local eatery places that are unique to my area instead of an Applebee's, Chili's, etc which you can find practically anywhere. I would not mind showing people around the area - it just depends on what the visitors would like to do.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

After exploring this site, I figured that I have experienced a form of couchsurfing on The Rock Boat. On my first time on this cruise, I've 'surfed' by joining a cabin with a person I found on the message board who was looking to fill her cabin. In years after, I have 'hosted' other people that found me on the message board in order to get a spot on the cruise. I have had all positive experiences through couch(boat) surfing.

I recently just hosted my first couch surfer and had a wonderful experience. I am definitely looking forward to more hosting experiences and am yet to experience my first couch surfing experience.

Interests

I enjoy music through radio/cds or concerts. I love to take cruises and after several cruises with my family, I started taking a yearly cruise every Jan. called The Rock Boat where I started in 2006. Amusement parks are probably my favorite places to visit given the time and money. I have been spending time volunteering and being a foster mom with the SPCA. I like to travel through road trips with friends, cruises, and family vacations.
