CURRENT MISSION

Up until 2009 I was the guy who always talked about traveling and dreamed about it, but never did it. But then I grabbed myself by the neck and went on an exchange in Quebec, and I've been hooked to traveling ever since!

ABOUT ME

I'm a 27 year old guy from Finland, and I've always had hopes about traveling and seeing the world. I like traveling in nature and in urban areas alike, I really want to see as much different places as I can! I do a bit of photography and I studied nerdy stuff, like software and signal processing. Also business tho! Currently working as a programmer/consultant.
I'm pretty laid back, I don't stress much about small stuff and I always try to keep an open mind when traveling =)

PHILOSOPHY

Treat others like you'd like to be treated! Not many people have ever seen me angry, and not many will. I try to always keep a positive attitude and stay away from unnecessary stress!

Now I'm just traveling, but in the future I plan on hosting people and being an active member of CS! I really like the concept.

I've done quite a lot of couchsurfing, mostly in North America and a bit in Asia!

When it comes to music, everything goes really! I have some education in classical music studies and I've played some instruments in the past. Currently digging French electro and German deep house!

Some of the bands I like: System of a Down, Daft Punk, Muse, Bachelors of Science, Chinese Man, Arcade Fire, Bassnectar, Nomak, RHCP, Deadmau5, Parov Stelar, Radiohead, Swallow The Sun and Cee-Roo simply doesn't do mistakes with his remixes.

Algo increíble que he hecho

A difficult choice! Spending the christmas night sleeping under the stars in the desert was for sure memorable, smoking a cigar while sipping rum on the backseat of a '67 oldsmobile in Cuba was certainly something, getting stuck in the middle of a national forest without food/water/reception for cell phones or just seeing whales and seals in Iceland!

I've learned a lot about people and traveling, but unfortunately most of my travels have been to cultures quite similar to my own. So my future plans are to learn about other cultures and people from completely different backgrounds!
