One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Caught a train in Lausanne, ate fondue in the mountains, drank guarapo from the cane, danced on the malecon, turned Madrid into a fairy tale, walked on ice in lake Geneva, jumped over Koreans at the airport on my way to Barcelona to watch the steam remake the city at dawn when I didn't sleep, handshaking strangers, meeting you and you and you, cherry red starlight, etc. the better insomnia of daylight, deep sleep, eating clay in las Maria's, different rain, old rivers, new strangers, stranger flowers, spat rum, salsa daydream overlooking the communist park full of children, ice cream everywhere, tomorrow into Sunday, someday. Slept on the metro, hiking in Miami, pole vaulting rattlesnakes.
