In general I can describe myself as a smiley person with a loud laugh and voice. As my friends would say: "You will notice when Ben is around". That doesn't mean that I can't be stubborn.

Furthermore my parents are separated and I have 2 brothers. In august 2007 I've met my current girlfriend, Loes.

So far I have no experience with this communication medium, but my girlfriend and I want to give it a try. We really like the concept.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far I have no experience with this communication medium, but I've slept many times in homes of people I didn't know. I haven't had any bad experiences yet. The people who took me in where always very friendly and generous.

Interests

Fishing, airsoft, nature, travelling, hitchhiking playing board games with some friend (not games like monopoly but things like: Settlers of Catan, Risk, Ruse & Bruise, Machiavelli, The Resistance, Habemus Papam, ...), playing some poker from time to time.

Music, Movies, and Books

I really like films and series with a strong story. Films that grab your attention the moment you watch the first shots are my favoured. I also like unexpected plots where you get mind-fooled. Sometimes I can appreciate a funny film/series. A couple of good series: Breaking bad, Dexter, Homeland, 24, Heroes, Prison Break, Two and a Half men. A couple of good films: Now you see me, Django Unchained, The Iceman, Side Effects, Shawshank Redemption, Panic Room, ...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Sometimes I still think about the first times I went hitchhiking with a friend of mine. We were 15-16y at that time. We really liked the freedom. Awesome feeling.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can try to explain some chemical principals, give some information about fishing and teach the basics of pingpong.

I really want to learn more about surviving into the wild. It's very useful to know how to react, how to make traps, where to search for food, how to get some water, ... when you are in the middle of nowhere.
