We are a couple of Swedes that met in 2007 in Uppsala as students and just recently started the transition from the student life by getting an ordinary apartment and a normal job.

As most people here we like meeting new people, seeing new places and experiencing foreign cultures. In the past we have limited our travels due to a tight budget. Now we feel that we are more constrained by free time and a growing awareness of the carbon footprint we have. Our solution to minimize carbon emissions is to stay longer at any given destination, travel by train and bus, and meet people who come to Sweden.

We consider ourselves nerds, which in our minds mean that we can get more excited about particular stuff than might be warranted.

On a 18h multi train ride from Frankfurt to Barcelona, we saw the sunrise over the Alps and the sunset over the Pyrenees.
