About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To see the weird and wonderful things in the world and experience all of its little wonders
ABOUT ME
Rather than get a job after graduating from Uni, I've decided to do a bit of travelling and see what the world is all about.
That said, I'm currently in the UK and considering trying to find work here, but before I can make that decision I want to get a better feel for what the mother country is all about.
PHILOSOPHY
Since I started travelling, and after a bored afternoon on Wikipedia, I co-opted 'Wheaton's law' and created my own extended version of it:
"If you act like a dick, eventually you'll find yourself screwed".
Other than that, I just try to do what will make me happy in the short term as the long distance future is something that is very difficult to control. I often base decisions to do someting on whether or not I will regret not doing it but as with everyone there are still the occaisonal regrets that slip through.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
At the moment I'm looking to just try and experience some of the world. If I can save money on accomodation than that is all the better.
Hopefully once I'm finished travelling I'll be in the position to return the favour as well!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I hope to add to this soon
Interests
SCIENCE!!!
Discovering what is around me and trying to understand why is what I love to do and what I like to encourage others to do.
I've also been known to make silly videos and informative rap songs.

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies & TV: mostly comedies, but I've still got a soft spot for kids movies
Music: Bit of all sorts but mostly 60s blues-inspired rock (think The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Kinks, Cream, etc) and anyone else similar to that style (Jet, Oasis, The Exploders, Litle Red, Pulp, The Young Knives amongst others). I also don't mind a bit of classy lady pop (Kate Miller-Heidke, Sarah Blasko, Soko, Jenny Lewis, etc).
Books: I read shitloads as a kid but not so much anymore. Anything funny is good but I mostly read Popular Science type stuff.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
No one particularly amazing thing comes to mind that stands out above the rest. I find that when you stop to really look at and think about things, everything in this world of ours is pretty freakin' cool.
Teach, Learn, Share
I've studied Science communication, so I'm supposed to be able to explain complex sciencey stuff in easy to understand ways. Unfortunately I don't know everything, but I'll give it a go.
I just want to learn about what other people's perspective of the world is and I'll try to understand where they are coming from (although I admit I don't always succeed). That, and playing the ukulele.
Countries I’ve Visited
Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Hungary, Indonesia, Ireland, Italy, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sri Lanka, Switzerland, Thailand, United Kingdom
Countries I’ve Lived In
